Meet the new Limited Edition Banzare GMT (pronounced "ban - zaire").
This new GMT delivers one of our most stunning dials yet. The dial is stamped with a deep-ridged sunburst texture in relief. Over this three-dimensional texture is then applied a transparent enamelled polished lacquer. With this clear glossy surface on top of a textured base, the resulting dial is a sight to behold. The bark-like texture shimmers in the light, transforming the colour from a rich plum to a metallic mulberry.
On top of this are mounted polished steel markers filled with luminous Super-LumiNova. These are paired with a polished sword handset, that’s also filled with lume, and a polished seconds hand with a blue Farer ‘A’ tip. Alongside these sits a bold orange GMT hand which, along with the blue 24-hour scale, provides a pop of contrasting colour.
All this is fitted into a wearable 39.5mm case, and protected by a domed sapphire crystal. With such a dynamic colour palette, this is a watch that will bring a smile to your face whenever you put it on.
The Banzare is limited to 150 units, with the last 50 units arriving in the autumn.

One Dial, Two Time Zones - The Banzare is equipped with a GMT function, which allows the wearer to track a second time zone.
Night Light - The hands, hour markers, and 24-hour scale all have an application of Super-LumiNova to ensure that they're as legible in the dark as they are during the day.
Reliable Mechanics - Powering this GMT is the Sellita SW330-2 automatic movement. This dependable calibre beats at a smooth rate of 28,800 bph (4Hz), contains 25 jewels and has a 56-hour power reserve. What’s more, this is the 'Top Grade' version of the SW330, so it’s been adjusted for accuracy in 5 positions.
Universal Case - The case is 39.5mm in diameter, with a 45mm lug-to-lug and a thickness of only 10.8mm, making it easy for anyone to wear.
Bronze Detail - The case uses a crown inset with a bronze cap embossed with the Farer ‘A’.
Story
The Banzare gets its unusual name from the British Australian (and) New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition and is in fact the acronym of that project name. BANZARE was a research expedition into Antarctica that occurred from 1929 to 1931.
The expedition consisted of two voyages, with one of the vessels being the RRS Discovery, which was previously used on Scott and Shackleton’s famous Antarctic expedition. Led by Sir Douglas Mawson, BANZARE was responsible for the mapping of the Antarctic coastline, and the discovery of Mac. Robertson Land and Princess Elizabeth Land. In addition to the mapping and claiming of land, the expedition was responsible for many reports on geology, oceanography, meteorology, zoology, and botany.
